Webb Ellis

No I have not won the rugby world cup, but one of my interests (apart from rugby) is breeding pedigree stock.

The main enterprise is the Webb Ellis Flock of Pedigree Southdowns. I started the flock in 2008 with three ewes and its grown! We are currently lambing around sixty ewes. The flock is part of the Signet Sheepbreeder scheme and was the first Southdown winner of the EBLEX Most Improved Flock Award. To read more about the flock click here. In 2010 we were asked to host a visiting group of Dutch sheep farmers, two Powerpoints were produced to introduce the flock  and to promote the Southdown.
Breeding stock may be available for sale (or hire in the case of rams). Surplus lambs are butchered locally and sold privately.

I have occasionally breed English Springer Spaniels but there are no breeding plans at the moment.
